Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix had an early flair in sports as she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that when she was just a teenager. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, in just 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix got a contract to pursue a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. In 2004, Felix won her debut Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. As of 2005, she was the youngest World Champion in the 200m of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her longtime Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three in her various events at the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
