Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's talent for athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made, she was ranked second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. After that, she attended at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200-meter race during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record the following year, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
